ProAuto ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website and use our services.
Information We Collect
Personal Information
We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you:
- Register for an account
- List a vehicle for sale
- Contact us for support
Automatically Collected Information
When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Pages visited and time spent
- Referring website
Signing in with Facebook or Google
You can create an account or sign in with Facebook or Google instead of a password. If you do, the provider shares the following with us, with your permission:
- Your name — to create your profile. It is shown to buyers as the seller's name on your listings and next to comments you post.
- Your profile picture — stored with your profile and shown only on your own profile page. It is not shown on your listings.
- Your app-scoped Facebook user ID or your Google account ID — to recognise you when you sign in again. We do not use it for anything else.
- Your email address — to identify your account, let you sign in and send you account and security messages, such as the confirmation that your account was deleted.
We ask only for your public profile and email address. We do not receive your password or your friends list, and we never post to your Facebook or Google account.
You can remove our access at any time: on Facebook, go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites and remove ProAuto; on Google, go to your Google Account → Security → Your connections to third-party apps & services and remove ProAuto. Removing access stops future sharing but does not delete the data we already hold. To delete it, follow our data deletion instructions.
Phone Number and SMS Verification
When you add a phone number, we verify it with a one-time code sent by SMS through smsoffice.ge, our SMS provider in Georgia, which receives your number and the text of the message. Verifying a phone number is part of signing up with an email and password. If you sign in with Facebook or Google, a phone number is needed only to publish a listing or to comment on news. Buyers can see your number on your listings when they choose to show it. To prevent abuse, we keep a record of each code request with the phone number and the IP address it came from, and delete it within three days.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain our services
- Process transactions and send related information
- Send you technical notices and support messages
- Respond to your comments and questions
- Improve our website and services
- Prevent fraud and ensure security
Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties without your consent, except in the following circumstances:
- To comply with legal requirements
- To protect our rights and property
- With trusted service providers who assist us in operating our website
- In connection with a business transfer or merger
Service Providers
We use the following service providers to run ProAuto. They process personal data on our behalf, only as needed to provide their service:
- Supabase — database hosting and account sign-in;
- Vercel — website hosting and page-view statistics;
- Cloudflare (R2) — storage of listing photos;
- Resend — sending account and security emails;
- Sentry — error monitoring;
- smsoffice.ge — sending SMS verification codes;
- Meta (Facebook) — Facebook sign-in and, only with your cookie consent, the Meta Pixel and Conversions API described below;
- Google — Google sign-in and, only with your cookie consent, Google Analytics;
- Expo — delivering push notifications to the ProAuto mobile app.
Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Cookies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience on our website. You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences.
Ad Measurement with Meta (Pixel and Conversions API)
Only if you accept cookies in our cookie banner, we use the Meta Pixel in your browser and Meta's Conversions API on our server to measure how our ads on Facebook and Instagram perform. The Pixel records the pages you visit. If you do not accept, neither is used.
When you view a listing, search, save a favourite, reveal or contact a seller, register or publish a listing, we send Meta the type of action, the page address and details of the listing or search involved (such as the listing ID, make, model and price), together with:
- your IP address and browser user agent;
- Meta's browser identifiers (the _fbp and _fbc cookies), if present;
- a SHA-256 hash of your ProAuto account ID if you are signed in, or of an anonymous visitor ID if one is stored on your device;
- if you are signed in, SHA-256 hashes of your email address, phone number, first name and last name, and of the country (always Georgia).
Hashing turns each value into a fixed code; we do not send the values themselves. Meta compares these codes with its own to link actions to Meta accounts, which is how we measure our ads. Meta handles this data under its own Privacy Policy.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing this site's cookies and site data in your browser; the cookie banner will then appear again.
