Data Deletion Instructions
You can delete your ProAuto account and the personal data linked to it at any time. This page explains how to ask for deletion, what happens to your data and when, and how to remove ProAuto's access to your Facebook or Google account.
How to delete your account
Option 1: in your account
- Sign in and open Dashboard → Profile. Go to your profile
- Open the “Account” tab and click “Delete Account”.
- Confirm in the window that opens. Type your full name as it appears in your profile (the window shows it; if your profile has no name, this is not asked). Then, if your account has a password, enter it. If you sign in only with Facebook or Google, you have no password: type the word DELETE instead (წაშლა or УДАЛИТЬ work too). Then click “Yes, Delete”.
Option 2: by email
Send an email to contact@proauto.ge from the email address linked to your ProAuto account, with the subject “Delete my account”. If you cannot write from that address, or the button is not available in your account, include details that let us confirm the account is yours. We will reply to confirm and delete the account in the same way as option 1.
What happens and when
Immediately
Your account is scheduled for deletion, and all your active car and motorcycle listings are taken off the site.
For the next 30 days
Until the deletion date you can change your mind: sign in again and click “Cancel deletion” under Dashboard → Profile → Account, where the date is shown, or write to contact@proauto.ge and we will cancel it for you. Once that date has passed, the deletion can no longer be cancelled. Listings that were taken off are not republished automatically; you can re-activate them yourself in My Listings.
After 30 days
The deletion is completed automatically (it runs once a day):
- your listings are deleted: their photos, description, VIN, video link and contact phone number are erased, and any posts about them on the ProAuto Facebook page are removed;
- your profile is anonymised: your name, email address, phone number, profile picture, bio, website, company and address are erased;
- your ProAuto login is deleted, including the data we received from Facebook or Google (your name, email address, profile picture and your Facebook or Google user ID);
- your favourites, likes, notifications, mobile app notification tokens, SMS verification records and linked sign-in accounts are deleted;
- we send a final confirmation to your email address.
What we keep
- An anonymous account record with no name, contact details or picture. Your deleted listings keep only basic vehicle details (such as make, model, year, mileage and price), not linked to your name, so that their old addresses can show a “no longer available” notice.
- Records of paid services and gifts, including the social media follow or review actions a gift was given for, for accounting and to prevent abuse (for example, the phone number a sign-up gift was claimed with, so the same gift cannot be claimed again).
- Comments you posted on news articles stay published without your name. Messages you sent through the contact form and the list of VIN checks you ran are kept as service records.
If you want any of these removed as well, write to contact@proauto.ge.
Removing ProAuto from Facebook
If you signed in with Facebook, open Facebook → Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites, find ProAuto and choose Remove. Open Facebook app settings
Removing ProAuto from Google
If you signed in with Google, open your Google Account → Security → Your connections to third-party apps & services, choose ProAuto and remove its access. Open Google Account connections
Removing access stops Facebook or Google from sharing your data with us in the future, but does not delete the data we already hold. To delete it, use option 1 or 2 above.
